ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Brosie! I’m an apple strudel born , franzbrötchen  based artist, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, enamored with creating meaning through music.

I had my songwriting awakening at 11 when I heard "Complicated" by Avril Lavigne at a friend's karaoke party and I never looked back. My approach oscillates between conceptual and cinematic: I love telling stories, feeling melodies, tasting sounds, visualizing arrangements and smelling the next hit.

After grazing Europe in search of my place in this world, I've found it both on stage and in the studio. Nothing brings me more joy than performing live and building an immediate, palpable connection with an audience. I treasure my countless nights spent at open mics, shopping streets and support shows— all of which shaped me as both a writer and a musician.

Crafting hands-on music has always pulled me in: I picked up classical guitar at 5, piano at 7 and drums at 13. These one-woman-band curiosities eventually led to The Banger Bakery, my shared studio space with Flo Brugge, where I’ve come to love the creative chaos of production — shaping sounds to bring a song’s message to life.

If I wasn't a musician, I'd probably be a linguist: I'm a proud lyric junkie (especially in English), a native German speaker with solid Dutch skills thanks to my studies, and I have a soft spot for the Romance languages — French, Spanish, and Italian. I love a challenge, and I love getting playful with words in songs, guided by my built-in dictionary.
